The 1 and 2 day courses are designed to give you confidence in some of the basic principles of woodworking. My 5 day workshops are will develop your wood working skills and give the confidence to under take your own projects.

There will be a maximum of 4 people in each workshop. The day starts at 9am and finishes around 5ish. We will have a break for lunch when you can enjoy the delights of Old Tile Works cafe or bring your own sandwiches.

I will lead you step by step through the process as you make your project, giving you individual support as you need it.

By accurately marking out and working with sharp tools, you will start to develop skills necessary to hopefully take your woodworking further.

I run a number of woodworking workshops in my studio in the beautiful surroundings of Old Tile Works right on the banks of the River Humber on the edge of Barton upon Humber.

"I never thought we would come away with such a beautiful keepsake box each in just 2 days, never having done any wood work before. All thanks to your teaching & woodworking skills, patience and expert guidance. I'd highly recommend this workshop - It gave me a real sense of achievement and the time just flew by."

"Many thanks for such an enjoyable woodworking course this weekend. It’s hard to believe just how good the finished product is ...

To successfully construct a jewellery box with dovetail joints is testament to your tutoring skills. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone regardless of their skill level."

"The weekend woodworking course opened up skills not taught at school or acquired since and proved that, with an excellent tutor and a challenging task, there is every reason to explore and enjoy something creative later in life."
